Dr. Asif Saifuddin (MSK)

Dr. Asif Saifuddin is the Senior Consultant Radiologist at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. His main interests include the radiology of bone, soft tissue tumours and spinal imaging, as well as all aspects on MSK MRI.

He is the author of over 200 peer reviewed papers, numerous book chapters and also Musculoskeletal MRI, a comprehensive 1,200 page text which is now into its 2nd edition, published in 2016. He regularly lectures both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Imran Khan (MSK)

Dr. Khan started his radiology training in Glasgow before moving to King's College Hospital, London, in his final year as a subspecialist trainee in MSK imaging. This was followed by consecutive fellowships, first based at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and the second based at McGill Univeristy Hospitals, Montreal, Canada.

He joined University Hospitals of Leicester as a Consultant Musculoskeletal and Trauma Radiologist in January 2015, where is he is the imaging lead for sarcoma for the Trust. He is also very keen on teaching and training and runs a charity course for FRCR on a biannual basis.

Away from work, his time is mainly devoted to his family. In his spare moments, he enjoys various sport activities.

Dr. James Stepehenson (Abdominal)

Dr. James Stepheson is a Consultant Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiologist. He started a surgical career path but developed his interest in radilogy when completing his MD utilising MRI to assess the response of colorectal liver metastases to a novel therapeutic agent. Having trained predominantely in Leicester, he completed a specialist GI imaging fellowship at St. Mark's Hospital, London, with a focus intestinal failure, CT Colonography and complex colorectal cancer before returning to Leicester.

He has active research interests in bowel imaging and radiology quality assurance. He is a BSGAR committee member and audit lead, is a co-opted member of NICE and on the ASGBI working group revising the High-Risk General Surgical Patient Report. He has lectured extensively on imaging in Gastrointestinal disease and runs a number of renowned national training courses.

Dr. Heminder Sokhi (Prostate)

Dr Sokhi is Consultant Radiologist at Paul Strickland Scanner Centre (PSSC), Mount Vernon Hospital and The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (THHFT) in Greater London, with expertise in oncological imaging, body CT/MRI and a keen interest in prostate cancer diagnostics. She completed fellowships in body imaging at St George’s Hospital London (2011) and PSSC, Mount Vernon Hospital (2012).

Dr Sokhi is Lead Uroradiologist for the THHFT Urology Cancer MDT and member of the Royal Marsden Partners Urology Pathway Group, London. She specialises in multiparametric prostate MRI for cancer detection, active surveillance, evaluation of disease recurrence and performs transrectal ultrasound guided prostate biopsies. At PSSC, she specialises in advanced oncological imaging techniques, including whole-body MRI.

She is Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College School of Medicine, Radiology Firm Lead for Imperial undergraduate medical students and Clinical Supervisor for Imperial radiology trainees at THHFT. Dr Sokhi has lectured at national courses and meetings, and authored/co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals, published scientific abstracts​ and educational exhibits.

Dr. Stuart Currie (Neuro)

Stuart Currie is an academic Consultant Neuroradiologist in Leeds, UK. In addition to the FRCR he holds an MSc in Health Research from the University of Leeds, a PhD in neurological imaging from the University of Sheffield and a postgraduate certificate in medical education from the University of Cambridge. He is a keen educator and has just completed his Masters in Clinical Education. He has numerous publications in medical journals and has written two educational radiology books. He is the current Royal College of Radiology and British Society of Neuroradiology du Boulay Professor.
